Re-Rack was created to improve the safety and organization of gyms, due to an excess of weights and equipment left on
the floor or misplaced. Through the use of friendly, yet firm copy and bright, bold colors, users are encouraged to
practice consistent re-racking to improve the space as a community. The system is implemented at each contact point of the user’s workout experience - entry, equipment, mirrors, and exit. It includes posters, stickers for each kind of equipment and organizers, stickers for mirrors, and wallet cards that explain to users the importance of the system. Gym owners can purchase a kit customized to their gym on the website, or individual supplies when needed, which is packaged in a branded mailer box. This box comes with an instruction sheet detailing the different types of supplies and how they
are to be installed. I also created an Instagram account to display social marketing and advertising. I used the
Schumann Fitness Center at Wentworth Institute of Technology (see photos) as a test for the project, in which it has been fully implemented and successful.
